Mrs India Galaxy 2019: Shweta Agarwal and Soni Chauhan are winners of classic and gold categories
The competition for the Mrs India Galaxy 2019 crown concluded with 25 beautiful women shortlisted from pan India

When the most happening contest on the Indian beauty pageant, Mrs India Galaxy 2019 got concluded last night in a starry night, held at the Hotel Country Inn by Radisson in Delhi, the 27 years old Bangalore resident, Shweta Agarwal and the 35 years old Soni Chauhan from Gwalior were declared winners at the Classic and Gold categories respectively. The competition was so intense that the two were selected from 25 final contestants shortlisted from a whopping 4,000 applications, pan India, who showcased their talent, giving stiff competition for the crown.
In addition to these winners, the 25 year old Rupa Patnaik from the capital of Odisha, Bhubaneshwar bagged the first runners up and the 34 years old Shraddha Gupta from Mumbai got the second runners up in the Classic category, while in the Gold category, the first and second runners up were the 43 years old Poonam Singh of Lucknow, Uttar Pradhesh and the 37 year old Shubhangi Tarekar of Nagpur, Maharashtra.
The panel of judges included television actors, Harshita Kashyap, Sunny Sachdeva; Fashion Designer, Sonia Jetley; Mrs Universe Arabasia, Anupama Sharma; Punjabi Model and Actor, Gurpreet Sodhi, celebrity Nutritionist, Varun Katyal and socialite Salloli Kumar. Former Miss Romania and Social Activist, Anca Verma was the Chief Guest.
While speaking about the beauty pageant, Sonia Jetley said: “I feel it’s a great gesture to bring the marginalised women of the society in the forefront through the pageant. I mean these women who have fought domestic violence or abuse are now oozing with confidence after their grooming sessions.”
The who’s who the Indian Fashion Industry including Manuj Sharma, Rajiv Gupta, Sadan Pande, Helai Gupta, Luna Dutt, Annu Marbiang, Sharon Winslet, Silvee, Vikram and many more made the glitzy evening wonderful.

First Beauty pageant
As to know about the event, Mrs India Galaxy is the first of its kind unique beauty pageant held for married women pan India, organised by Vibrant Concepts. What is more, even though beauty pageants for married women have been a very common phenomenon, nevertheless, Mrs India Galaxy becomes unique for the simple reason that this event is being held for a social cause. Furthermore, Mrs. India Galaxy is aiming at bringing back the confidence of those women, who had been victims of domestic violence or abuse and further make them an inspiration for several suffering women in remorese, through the pageant. Ultimately, the event is being held for empowering women and to send across the message loud and clear: “Stop Violence Against Women.”
Genesis

The seed of the event was conceptualised and sown by the duo, Ginny Kapoor and Gagan Kapoor, who have experience for more than ten years in hosting a host of beauty pageants and fashion shows all over India. Sharing the experience, Ginny Kapoor, Director of Vibrant Concept said: “Mrs India Galaxy aims in bringing forth; fresh and glamorous young faces to limelight from different parts of the country through this platform. The main aim of this pageant is to build self-confidence and self-worth of women.
