SC to GOI: Furnish details about decision making process leading to Rafale deal

The supreme court of India has asked the Union Government to reveal details pertaining to the decision making process leading to Rafale deal, according to UNI report. A three-judge bench, headed by the Chief Justice of India, Ranjan Gogoi said, “The Court seeks report from the Union Government with respect to the decision making process in a sealed cover.”

The Bench also stated that it was not issuing any notice the Centre at this point of time and added that the Court had issued the order during the hearing of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) against the Rafale deal between India and France. The petition also sought information pertaining to the contract given to Reliance by Dassault, added the report.
