“As NEET 2019 has been mandated of overseas MBBS aspirants students need to prepare really well” says Saju Bhaskar of Texila American University

As the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2019, scheduled for May 5, 2019 students will have to prepare really well for the examination, especially in terms of the fact that in excess of 7,000 new registrations will be added, since it has been mandated for overseas MBBS aspirants, the President of Medical Council of India (MCI) recognised Texila American University based in Caribbean said. Apparently, in a move to support the Union Government in preparing students for the NEET, Texila Academy, an exclusive platform for NEET preparations is rolling out free study material and unveil digital classrooms for the aspirants. What is more, the study material will be chalked out by experts in the field and and will be promoted it through digital platforms, Bhaskar said.


From this year, the NEET is conducted by the newly formed National Testing Agency (NTA) that has replaced the competitive examinations related functions of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The online application process for NEET 2019 for admission to the undergraduate courses such as MBBS have commenced from November 1, 2018. With so  many changes pertaining to medical education happening, the benchmark is so high that it is expected that admissions for MBBS, quality of medical education and NEET examination is going to be pretty much more transparent this year, according to a statement issued by Texila American University.

Reacting to the formation of NTA, Bhaskar said, “The formation of NTA is a welcome move for medical colleges and MBBS aspirants as well. There have been instances in the past where things did augur well as far as NEET examination and admissions to medical education is concerned amendments made by the Government of India looks promising and I am certain that there is a lot more in the bag for the medical fraternity.”


In an apparent move to help the students, the NTA has uploaded expert lectures for NEET UG to prepare candidates for this crucial examination. These videos have been created by IIT professors and the subjects include physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology. Furthermore, the NEET UG-2019 will consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions from physics, chemistry and biology. NEET 2019 is a single examination in pen and paper mode and the duration of the examination is three hours. For further information, visit ntaneet.nic.in.
