Malayalam collection of stories, Eyampattakal written by V.V. Sathyabhama released 

Eyampattakal, a collection of Malayalam stories, authored by V.V. Sathyambhama was released in Kozhikode yesterday by the Malayalam poet, Mohanakrishnan Kaladi by handing over the first copy to author and publisher of Sahithya Publications, Sudeep Thekepatt.

Serving in a village school for 32 odd years as a teacher. Writing those disheartening incidents with a figment of imagination into a story. Years later, post retirement while leading the sunset years, the daughter finds writer in her mother and gifts her by compiling her works into a book form on her mother’s birthday! The former teacher of MUP School in Changaroth and the native of Kokkad in Perambara, P.V. Sathyabhama’s works were release in the form of book by compiling the collection of stories.

V.V. Sreela, the school teacher in Thrishur and daughter only had identified her mother’s innate talent in writing and was instrumental in bringing out this book. The story collection, Eyampattakal was thus released the other day in Koozhikode in Sathyabhama’s presence, with the first copy of the book being presented to the Malayalam writer and Publisher of Sathithya Publications Kozhikode by the poet Mohanakrishnan Kaladi.

The book consists of 15 short stories replete with the soul of mother as the main theme. Born on September 7, 1951 in Kannur, Sathyabhama is the daughter of Thekedath Krishna Warriar and Sharada Varasiyar.  After serving 32 years in Changaroth MUP School as a teacher, Sathyabhama retired from service in 2007. She is married to retired Thahsildhar Rama Warriar and the couple of three children, Sreeja, Sreela and Sreeni. Sathyabhama lives in Sreenilayam at Avadukka in Kokkad, Kozhikode district.

The Indian News wishes Sathyabhama a long and healthy life, in addition to her foray into the literary world with her debut book, Eyampattakal. The event was held along with the inauguration of Kokkad Resident’s Association. Chandroth Grama Panchayat President, Shailaja Cheruvode inagurated the event. Residents’ Association President, P.T. Kunhikelu was the Chief Guest. Changaroth Grama Panchayat Member, Biju K.V., Association Secretary and K. Suresh Kumar spoke on the occasion.
