Sobraniye 2018 Annual Get Together for Indian students pursuing medical education in Russia held in Delhi

With the purpose of giving the underprivileged Indian students wings to fly, RusEducation and the Russian Centre for Science and Culture joined hands and organised an annual get together Sobraniye 2018 at Sirifort Auditorium on September 18, 2018 in New Delhi.

The event was meant for the Indian students who are all set to pursue their medical education in Russia, where eminent personalities such as General VK Singh, Minister of State for External Affairs, Russian Ambassador, Nikolay Rishatovich Kudashev, Dr Reena Nayyar, Secretary, Medical Council of India, Dr Washim, Chairman, RusEducation, Fyodor Rozovskiy, Director, RCSC, Member of Parliament, Manoj Tiwari and others were present.

Pawan Kapoor, Air Marshal (Retd), Vice Chairman Rus Education said, “The aim of Sobraniye 2018 was to get the students along with their parents under one roof so that they can meet each other and interact so as to share their apprehensions regarding the education abroad.”

The event wasn’t just about meet and greet, underprivileged students from different parts of India, who scored well in their class XII exams but weren’t able to get a seat in Indian medical colleges due to financial crunch were offered scholarships by Rus Education. Mohd Aamir, Yogendra Swami, Sitkant Rout, Shashank MD, Akansha Saxena were among the lucky ones!

The Chief Guest, General VK Singh, while addressing the students and parents said, “We would like students to be ambassadors of the country abroad. And in case you face any problem, you must contact the Indian embassy and the embassy will extend full support to you. Once the students are accomplished, they should return to serve their native country.”

Kudashev briefed the audience about the Indo-Russian relationship, Russian academic environment and the facilities that students will be provided while in Russia. RUS Education has been a pioneer in helping the students to choose a suitable university for the last 25 years.
