The Bangalore-based actor, hailing from Alapuzha district of Kerala, who started learning dance at a tender age of three, Anusha Nair’s foray into film industry was in Malayalam, she got the lead role in Tamil film. Although, she hails from Kerala, Anusha Nair was born and brought up in Bangalore.
Though Anusha Nair had acted in a slew of tele-films including Khalbile Murivukal, her entry into tinsel town was through the Malayalam film, Thaavalam, portraying the character of actor Nedumudi Venu’s daughter, which was followed by a Tamil film, Sanikizhamai Saayankaalam 5 mani in the lead role.
After taking a sabbatical in order to pursue her passion of dancing, her reentry to the movie arena is through the Malayalam flick, Annayum Rasoolum. Anusha Nair, who considers both art and cinema has her two eyes, is staging a comeback in the Tamil movie, Nellu, who is acting in the lead role.
Appani Sharath is the hero in that movie. The character in Nellu has wide scope to prove her acting prowess. With this movie, Anusha Nair is busy gearing up to take up meaty roles both in Tamil and Malayalam movies. Anusha Nair is hoping to get powerful characters in the forthcoming movies, especially the dance focused roles, she was quoted as saying by CK Ajay Kumar, PRO of Friday Media Chennai.
