Kerala Police files case against a woman who made castiest slur against CM Pinarayi Vijayan
The Aranmula police had filed a case against Maniamma from Cherukole near Pathanamthitta, after the video of a woman protester, agitating against the Supreme Court order of quashing a ban on entry of women to Sabarimala temple, who made a castiest slur against the Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan.

When the video of Maniamma abusing the CM went viral on the social media, V Sunil Kumar, an office bearer of the Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalanam (SNDP) which is the frontal organisation of Ezhava community, lodged a complaint. The video had elicited flack from the general public on the social media platforms like Facebook. In fact, the SNDP General Secretary, Vellapally Natesan had taken a strong exception and said that the upper caste communities of Kerala are not able to stand the state being ruled by a person from Ezhava community.
