In an apparent effort to extend financial support to the families of the beloved soldiers who were martyred in the Galwan Valley, defending the Chinese incursion, AASHA Foundation is hosting a five day donation drive, ‘Course For A Cause,’ from June 29, 2020 to July 2, 2020 by holding five different skill-based online courses each day. The five-day philanthropic event, after conducting these courses, will hand over the proceeds to the dependents of the martyrs.
Initiated by Yashvi Lodha, an extremely committed and precocious 12-year-young student of Class 7 from Hill Spring International School – Tardeo, Mumbai, along with her friends Trisha Jhamb, Ishita Bharadia, Krishna Bang and Rahhya Otwal.
What is more, the ‘Course For A Cause’ is aimed at honouring the soldiers who laid their lives in the violent face-off between India and China.
Overall, it is organising five different art forms for students between six years and 12 years, where dancing, sketching, baking, calligraphy, Yoga and Workout will be held. Hosted through Microsoft Teams, each online course is scheduled for an hour, for which the aspiring children were urged to donate a minimum of Rs.500 to the AASHA Foundation (Ashaabyyouth.org). The last day to sign up for the event was June 27, 2020.
