Swamy Agnivesh says at KLF 2019 in Kozhikode: “I am so proud to have seen women in Kerala form a human chain from Kasargod to Kanyakumari”
During a session at Ezhuthola on the third day of Kerala Literature Festival 2019 being held in Kozhikode district, Kerala from January 10 and concluding on January 13, while striking a conversation with actor Padmapriya, Swami Agnivesh, without mincing words to that effect that he was not batting for a Hindu cause, said: “I am so proud to have seen women in Kerala form a human chain from Kasargod to Kanyakumari. Also feeling proud that they all stood up for themselves.”
Swami Agnivesh did not mince his words when he spoke about freedom of choice and how the citizens should wisely use it. He also said that the human body was the biggest temple and that temple should be worshipped. Earlier, kicking off the conversation on the right note, Swami Aginvesh began opened up his conversation with, “Om, Bismillah and Ekum Kar,” just to prove a point that how he considered all religion as one and the same and further added that all regions vouched for the same principles.
Stating that he began taking on the provocative utterances of untruth and injustice pervading all around, Swami Agivesh went on to add that that was how he became an activist. Furthermore, the Swami also lamented about the Goverment of the day not upholding the true value of the Constitution and the policies thereof. Swami Agnivesh’s composed conversation that emanated louder words had instant resonance among the enthusiastic crowd. The Swami also touched upon a slew of subjects including animal slaughter. “We need to eat what is healthy for our body and the diet need not be necessarily be with meat. The diet might as well be replete with fruits and vegetables.”
Padmapriya, doing a sheet-anchor role did pose amazing questions, while adding her insights about the discussion that was veering around. Swami Aginvesh also said that he would be kick-starting a rally on January 26, 2019 (Republic Day) with the stated objective of upholding the value of India’s Constitution. Before concluding his conversation, Swami Aginvesh had also urged those who had gathered there at the venue including Padmapriya to join him to make the rally a humongous success. Before signing off, Swami Agnivesh had also gifted his book to the actor as a token of appreciation, while Padmapriya accepted the same amidst thunderous applause.
